Theater books
Every time you go into a theater you see something new, usually something odd, and often something that disagrees with you. Sort of like McDonald's.
Amateur theater makes a great hobby, and so does attending professional productions. In addition to spending my time and money making theater magic (as designer, carpenter, director, whatever), I put in a good few hours learning from what other people have written about it. I'll mention a few of them here. It's only fair to say that just as I'm an amateur of theater, I'm a strict-observance amateur as a book reviewer.
