Jay and Julie collaborated on the design of the set for this comedy. Considering that the show has a cast of just four and that director Steve is not himself an enthusiastic carpenter, we got off to an astoundingly quick start. Good management by Jay, who's not only a part-time theater professional but also a professional carpenter.
But getting the set up fast meant not having much time to take pictures of it. In the photo above, made at the end of our first weekend, Allen is checking something out. From your left, the window, a door, then (painted black at the time) a stairway leading offstage. Then the bookcase, a closet door, the outside door, and the rest is outside the frame. In a few days I'll have pix of the set with paint on it—molding, too. Lots of molding. Seems like miles of the stuff.
