Bedroom Farce images

(But first this....) Our costumer Beverly is having a Vintage Clothing Show at Le Maison Bleu restaurant in Watkinsville. One room is from the 1800s to the 1950s and the other room is 60s and 70s. The show will be up until the end of February. Bev has an amazing eye, and this collection should be a knockout. (And now back to our pictures.)

The action of the play takes place in three bedrooms: Delia and Ernest's, dating (as they do) from before the mid-20th century; Nick and Jan's sort-of-International-style place; and the "love nest" Kate and Malcolm have just moved into. In one night the three couples suffer the impact of Trevor and Susannah's marital troubles. Director Steve got the staff together for a "fun" readthrough (i.e., no Talent allowed), and we all had a solid laugh at the script.

Our stage has to strain to hold three bedrooms. I finished the scale model just in time for auditions. Julie's gone to work on color and decor. There would have to be beds in it, right?

The first weekend's progress was not stellar. Our small crew got all the walls up the second weekend. I rely on Tim to back up my claim that poster design is one of the central theater arts. Here are some photos from January 3 and 4, Year 4.
