The Ladies of the Camellias images
It was impossible to log such dramatic progress the second weekend as we did the first. Duh, the walls are still there, and so forth. This view from Jan. 23 shows the green base color of the "set" set, with contrasting panels. The moldings for the boxes defining those panels got painted; that's the reason for the streaks on the floor behind Kelly. You can see the upstage window has been installed and extended upward; Allen's concept is that Marguérite's room is much taller than our stage, so we can't see the top of anything once the border draperies are hung. The photo also shows the beginnings of the new fireplace, one of the details you can see better on the next page.
