You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown images

The picture above shows most of the set in a mostly complete state. I meant to get a shot of Snoopy's doghouse but managed to leave it out, sorry. The large flat object in mid-stage is a school bus.
Behind the board fence at Stage Right (your left) in the first photo is the bandstand; a few audience members will see musicians, including the two at left, peeking over. The image shows Jace and Mel working on some scenery in the temporarily vacant space. Mel is painting the "psychiatric help" stand; I thought you would want to know that the red color is called "Rum Runner." Wouldn't you love to earn actual money making up these color names?
Kelli chose R-board, a styrofoam insulating material in sheet form, to make the fence. Of course it won't stand up by itself; the image at right suggests how it is held vertical. Lot of glue in this picture. We erected the fence on a windy day (we seem to have nothing but windy days this spring), and Larry noticed that having the stage door open could cause floppiness issues. (His actual words were, "This will only end in tears.") So now we keep the stage door closed.
Liz again chose to have chorus performers understudy the principal roles. Not every director can make this work; she runs the risk of having a member of the understudy team get frustrated. On the other hand, in Extremities she had to put in Jamie's understudy for opening night, after a furniture-related accident in dress rehearsal, so the rest of us will have to consider following the example. Reason I mention this is that the photo at left shows both Lucys (Emily, barely visible, and Camilla) working on the cube they will use in some scenes.
Kudos to Kelli for creating a quirky, cartoony design that fits on our small stage.
There's a bonus page of photos.
