The Crucible
by Arthur Miller
Town & Gown Players, 1995-96 Mainstage season

I guess this was destined to be a turbulent production. John Carson directed a cast of adults and teenaged girls. The dance at the top of the show (apparently naked teenagers—virtually all of them clothed in fact—behind a scrim) stood the audience on its collective ear, and the "Yellow Bird" jokes continued for years. It was quite an effective show, though.

I did the set design and discovered a real taste for asymmetry. Not bad. There are some pages of images including both the set and the cast.
