The Comedy of Errors images
Each column was a cardboard footing form: a tube you plant in the ground and fill with concrete to make a pad on which your outdoor deck will rest. Because the form comes with a thin grease coating, we wrapped them before painting. Don, who has since turned himself into the University Theater's utility techie, took drawings home and built the plinths and capitals from scrap lumber. In this photo the designer has just about finished painting the whole assembly.
