The Oldest Living Graduate images

Ron Culbreth directed what turned out to be a wearing production. Col. Kinkaid is a crusty old son of a bitch with one redeeming quality: a memory that won't quit. His perfect first son Franklin died, leaving a brother to catch what the Colonel pitches: Floyd, whose name the Colonel (a West Texan) pronounces "Flawed."

Graduate is the third of three linked plays (Lu Ann Hampton Laverty Oberlander and The Last Meeting of the Knights of the White Magnolia complete the set). Town & Gown produced Lu Ann in the 1980-81 season. Knights is even rawer in its treatment of the Bradleyville folks, and I seldom see productions announced anywhere around here.

The pix on these pages show two of the people who challenged me most, plus a portrait of the full cast. Click on a little image to see a larger version with comments. Once you've selected an image you can loop around the series without returning to this page.
