Les Liaisons Dangereuses images

Boxes of greeneryThis page is bound to appeal only to devout techies and the folks who worked on the show. The photos show a few details of the preparations. At left you see boxes. Gary, who imports silk flowers for a living, is generously letting Liaisons use some pieces to decorate the big arches. You have to pay to see the hydrangea sprays, but here are the boxes.

Amy's chaise longue under repairIf you've been following these pages for a couple of years you may recall the fainting couch we put into The Play's the Thing in 2001. Well, it's back, a little the worse for three years of storage in Amy's garage. Allen has had it up on blocks in the lobby. The photo at right shows the piece, now renamed a chaise longue (not "lounge"), awaiting a bit of attention to its buckram skirt and ancient casters. The Vicomtesse de Merteuil will reportedly get to lounge (not "longue") on it.

The molding farmAnybody from Atlanta will recognize the name "King and Queen buildings." These 1990s highrises on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road are topped with open decorative structures that remind many people of the king and queen from a chess set. The arches we built for Liaisons unfortunately looked just like the roof of the Queen building, so we're attaching lots of moldings to them to break up the Postmodern look. The photo at left shows a bunch of the molding pieces, which have been painted in a color called "Toast."

I think I mentioned that this was a page just for insiders. . . .
