Once Upon a Mattress cast photos
Here you see Stacy collapsed across the famous 20-mattress bed, attended by Amy as Nightingale (on the perch). That looks like Lee in a faint at your left. Jill and, is it Deana?, stand at left and Liz, as the wicked Queen, at right.
The bed was a triumph. It was built heavily enough to carry a small automobile, and I tried to talk T&G into keeping it as an appliance for lighting and other work. That didn't happen, but for the show it was excellent. The "mattresses" are tubes of ticking stuffed with newspaper and wrapped around the front of the wagon. It had the audience guessing.
