The Rover images
The model in this view shows first ideas about the colors, but they turned out reasonably close to the final result. You can see how the walk rises from both sides to the center. The red house is Lucetta's; the brownish-yellow one, Angellica Bianca's (with signboard hung out); the green one, Florinda's.
Blount's undoing takes place in poor light on the set represented here. The bed and its draperies close up the gap in the house curtain; the action goes on the apron. When Blount leaps into the bed, the trap door vanishes him. Scaleboy and Scalemaid stand by to illustrate the scale. The bed really looked better than this, thanks to effective shopping by the crew at the fabric store.
