The Royal Family images

This is the ground plan of the set. The numbers refer to the notes below.
1: This door (no shutter) leads to the vestibule of the Cavendish apartment. There will probably be a hat rack or so. Note the masking flats outside the door.
2: Service door. It gets a workout in the first scene. A cat-killer door (double-swing hinges).
3: Balcony. Well, a raised level anyway; it's just 31-1/4 inches above the deck. There will be a rail around the balcony and running down the onstage steps.
4: Arch door leading to a corridor that gives access to Tony's room (4A) and Julie's (4B).
5: Arch door leading to a short corridor giving access to Fanny's room.
6: Arch door leading to the library.
7: It'll be interesting to see how this works. The window (bench seat under) looks out onto the street; well, out onto the audience, in fact. My experiments say the reflexed wall will not impede the audience's vision much. Oh, I forgot to mention that it's a cutaway wall, only about 15 inches high at the Downstage corner.
