Six Degrees of Separation: images
When we built the set for She Loves Me! some years back, Steve decided we were taking too long in discussing how to bend the lauan plywood face around a curved platform. By the time we'd gone through hot soaks, steam jets and steam boxes, he had put together two helpers, attached the lauan at one vertical edge, and just walked it around the bend, screwing it to everything that would hold still. Worked like a champion, so we named the technique for him. What you see above are squinchy little miniature Steve Griffin units; the original one was something like three feet high.
