A Streetcar Named Desire images
The little icebox is pretty near finished, just a bit of touchup to go. Painted white, it was worse than boring, it was just a blob. Black pulls on the drawer and door and black outlines on all the moving parts really helped. You're supposed to think of black enamel trim, but that isn't what I used.
Notice how cleverly I tilted the front of the drawer? That was on purpose too, yeah, that's the ticket.
As the picture below shows, there isn't a world of trickery in the set. The street door of Stanley and Stella's apartment hangs in midair, but beyond that it's pretty straightforward. Brian, Leara, Kris and John spent a day texturing (sponging) the green and yellow walls, and Leara produced a stucco effect on the smudged exterior wall at your extreme left. The next page should show essentially the final look, with floor treatments and all.
