A Streetcar Named Desire images
Eric should have felt good about his set. He got fair-to-good participation from his cast and realized the look he conceived. At left he's leaning on my icebox to survey the nearly finished picture.
Streetcar is a hard play: hard to set, hard to cast, and hard work for the principal performers. John as Stanley gave a fine performance, as did Kris in the role of Blanche. Shelly also stood out as Stella. It was a big cast with several other members I recall with pleasure (note that I'm writing this many months after the show closed).
Above you see more or less what the audience saw. (It's more: The lighting crew still had a couple of ladders in use when I made the photo.) From my standpoint, Eric's big achievement was the innovative organization of the space, which brought Stella and Stanley's apartment front and center.
