The Suitors images
From the sketches (previous page) I made a ground plan drawing as a basis for negotiation. The parts are called out in the image above. When he saw the plan, Steven corrected me on a point or two, but the corrections are not reflected in this drawing. For one, the attic is not connected to the elevated platforms and has a window, not a door. It's also much, much higher than the 36 inches indicated. The "Dutch door" may turn into a door with a porter's peephole. Andy has to appear in, indeed climb through, the double-shuttered window, so we will add a set of concealed steps behind that unit. The angles will all be adjusted as we build. Steven called it a cellar, but I think it's probably a basement instead, and it will have not only the door shown but also a window that Andy can crawl through.
Steven asked that we build this set from stock scenery units wherever possible, so most everything that isn't 4 feet wide will be 8 feet wide.
