The Suitors images
Although it wasn't all cleaned up, we had this much of the set built and standing by the end of the first weekend. Isabelle's balcony is be-flowered, with the shelf Katie designed all in place. The judge's attic window, with a complete new sill and a section of wall beneath it, is in place on the high level to your right. The black draperies part to reveal the cunningly designed electrical boxes in the wing. If you look very, very closely, you will note that the entire set has migrated Upstage two or three feet from the position shown in my ground plan; Steven wants the option of running in the house curtain.
Next weekend, besides painting, we must put shutters in the doors, create the two window units, add siding to the platform units, and determine how our masking will go. Paint effects will occupy the third and, I hope, last weekend.
