The Tempest images
Here you see all the main units ready for use. Tom is checking out a threshold made of sheetrock mud while Katie shifts plywood next to the No. 2 tree. In the background on your left is the cave monolith (Ariel's platform visible on the lowest part of the roof); on your right, the ramp unit built last week, but now with its face on, revealing the culvert where at least one Spirit will emerge. Downstage is the most heavily traveled ramp unit. The new location of the No. 1 tree and the sorcerer's Book is just out of the frame on your right.
I should add that the white stars on the back wall are left over from something else and won't appear in The Tempest. And the rehearsal piano will probably go away too.
A lot of what you see here will be burgundy-colored, with rag-rolled texturing. There's some engineering yet to be revealed; for example, the Book must turn its own pages, and the question of Ariel flying onstage hasn't been settled. Before much more time passes, we need lighting designer Claire to get an eyeful of this, be revived with cold compresses, and get on the job.
