The Play's the Thing
Here's the ground plan of our set. The semicircle is a raised area around the fireplace and hearth. The room shares a flue with the one next door, so you can hear conversations between people there (which means Cuthbert doesn't really need the glassware). Downstage Left is the door to the adjoining room where Ilona is staying; she also has a door directly to the hall, as this room does Down Right. The two bedrooms occupied by Adam, Mansky and Turai are through the door Up Right. The French window way Upstage gives onto a balcony. The furniture is straightforward except for the fainting couch at Center. Chris and I collaborated on the design and on the decoration you'll see in other pages of this series.
